Abstract
Inglés: The following final research Project was carried out with a sixteen psychotherapy group sessions with adolescent bulimic female patients from the Hospital San Rafael de Alajuela. The theory framework and methodology used was psychoanalysis due to the fact that adolescence is considered a stage of subjective reconstruction and the action of eating and vomiting are considered a symptom. The main objective was to create an open space where individuals would join a psychoanalytic group lecture in which adolescents would identify bulimia as a symptom. Moreover, the specific objectives would be to promote participants self expression in regards to their impression on eating and vomiting, empowering them to deal with the symptom and find out what causes it. The methodology describes the recruiting of participants and the characteristics of the individuals when interacting as group and the categories of analysis used for the group therapy sessions. The results include each of the sessions with their respective analysis. Similarly, the conclusions and recommendations highlight the relationship between bulimia and the obstacles within the process of adolescence and the meaning of the symptom for the participants. Finally, the recommendations are based on the role of the clinic psychologist and health to accurately treat the adolescent population.
